30 June - 2 July, 2010 Hydroponic Farmers Federation Conference

Recently Greenworks attended the HFF conference that was held at Chisholm Institute of Tafe in Cranbourne, Victoria.  The 2010 conference focussed on water, energy, productivity, and marketing and included a number of trade displays, workshops and presentations by industry experts.
Greenworks had a trade display at the show and Sohum also provided a presentation on “Real Energy Alternatives.”

Other Guest Speakers at the 2010 HFF included:
Jeremy Badgery-Parker, Brialey Brightwell, Rick Donnan, Ronald Duivenstein, Peter Furphy, Andy Lee, Nicky Mann, Elly Nederhoff, Meiny Prins, Graeme Smith, Herman Van Der Gulik, and Wayne Street.

The 2010 HFF Conference was a great success due to the knowledge that was projected throughout the three days.  It was fantastic to see the new state of the art glasshouse at Chisholm Tafe which was built by Faber with all the technical aspects being supplied and installed by Greenworks and Powerplants. Congratulations must go to Carl/Rocky and the team at Powerplants for doing a great job managing the project and getting it done on time in some very difficult circumstances.

28 & 29 June, 2010 - Surviving Today and Opportunities for Tomorrow

Recently Greenworks held what we and many of the participants would call, one of the most exciting and comprehensive seminars for the Greenhouse industry.  The seminar was situated at the Amstel Golf Club in Cranbourne Victoria.  Key topics that were covered in this seminar included effective investment and energy use, root zone management and climate control.

Speakers that attended throughout the two days were:
Tim Pratt – Technical Director. Farm energy
Andy Lee – Business support Manager North America and Export Markets. Grodan BV
Ronald Duyvesteijn – Director. NPR Consultancy, Holland

The Grodan Seminar was a great success and provided all attendees with information, understanding and clarity in relation to the product as well as giving the growers a chance to ask any questions and resolve and problems that they may be having with their product.  Technical documents and course notes will be delivered to all participants in the near future. If you are a grower on Grodan who did not attend the course and who would like a copy of the documents, please call Jemma at Greenworks.
